see in the first text msg I get when I turn my phone on, are pictures of 2 wrecked cars and police, fire and rescue. Unfortunately, that is what MrsFr8Dog sent, and fortunately it also included a msg that she and our daughter were okay.

Happened about 11pm last night as they were making their way home from RDU, where my daughter Had flown in, coming home from boarding school. As they pulled into the turn lane on US1 just north of SoPines, a white sedan rear ended them. The turn lane is on a banked turn, and they’re lucky the guy didn’t get airborne before hitting them. According to the police, the guy apparently dozed off, left the road on the turn, woke, saw what was happening and over controlled his car hitting my wife’s Honda Pilot in the left rear, lodging his fender into the wheel well and pushing the Pilot about a hundred feet. He continued beyond the pilot, rolling at least once. He’s in the hospital with injuries, though not sure how severe. My girls are okay, but, no car.

Other good news, I tested negative for for Covid for about the 30 time last night. 👍🏻
